Website Privacy & Tracking

Website privacy and tracking choices

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This notice explains website information and optional Google Ads measurement on traumafocusedtherapy.com, operated by David J. Ebaugh, LCSW. It is separate from the clinical privacy notices and consent documents provided when you receive services.

Your choice about Google Ads measurement

We use optional Google Ads measurement to understand whether our advertising leads visitors to click a consultation booking button. You can accept or reject this measurement. Before you accept, our Google Ads tag is not loaded and consultation clicks are not sent by that tag. Rejecting does not prevent you from browsing or requesting a consultation.

Select Tracking choices at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Accepting enables Google Ads measurement cookies and the sharing of measurement information with Google. Ad personalization and enhanced conversions remain disabled even when you accept.

We store your choice in this browser for up to 180 days using local storage. Clearing browser storage, switching browsers or using another device may require a new choice. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, optional Google Ads measurement stays off. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice may last only for the current page.

Information sent to Google after you accept

The Google tag may send the page address and title, referring page, browser and device information, cookie or advertising-click identifiers, and events such as a click on a consultation button. Like other internet requests, requests to Google expose your IP address to Google. Page addresses and titles may indicate the therapy topic you viewed.

Google uses measurement information to attribute and report advertising results. A consultation-button click is not a confirmed appointment. Our conversion event does not include your name, email address, phone number, booking-form answers or treatment records. We do not enable enhanced conversions to send customer contact information through this tag.

Google Ads cookies can store identifiers that connect an advertising interaction to a later website action. Cookie lifetimes vary by cookie and browser. Read how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services and Google’s cookie information.

Changing your mind

Choosing Reject in Tracking choices stops subsequent measurement through our Google Ads tag and reloads the page if the tag was already active. We also attempt to remove Google Ads measurement cookies set on this website. This cannot undo information already sent to Google or remove cookies stored on Google’s domains; you can manage those through your browser and Google’s privacy controls.

Other website functions and information you provide

These choices control our Google Ads measurement tag. They do not disable the website’s hosting, security, login, shopping-cart or payment functions. Those services may process technical information or use storage needed to operate. Information you submit through a contact form, registration, purchase or other service is handled for that request; avoid sending sensitive treatment details through general website forms.

Consultation scheduling uses SimplePractice. Opening its booking tools connects you to that provider, which has its own privacy practices. Information entered there is separate from the Google Ads consultation-click event. Other external services or embedded content may also receive technical information when you use them.
